"THE SCENARIO"

By Robert K. Walcott

A certain lady, of uncommon demeanor,
Comes into view;
And, your heart,
Will never be the same.
Not that you are a fool,
And given to childlike fantasy;
But, there is something uncommonly stunning,
About this, particular, lady.
She is tall, statuesque, and fair.
She seems to glide, with the flow of silk,
At every gesture.
Men are staring;
And yet, she does not seem to know.
There is an air of friendliness about her;
And yet, she is not common.
You turn aside,
To regain your composure;
Lest you be caught,
In the allure, of her beauty.
You turn again, but alas,
She is gone!!
A trace of bewilderment overcomes you,
As you ponder, what might have been.
You look again, and you realize,
You’re not alone!!
